You will develop and lead the delivery of NFU Mutual’s solvency management for the General Insurance business. You will also build NFU Mutual’s expertise to support the development and maintenance of the Group’s Internal Model, reflecting industry best practice in capital modelling and ensure compliance with both existing and new statutory rules. You will work on a variety of risk management topics across the organisation including reinsurance purchasing strategy, understanding the financial risks of climate change and setting risk mitigation strategies to extreme events. Team development is a key focus for this role, as it will involve coaching and training a team of talented individuals to maximise their contributions and realise their potential. About youYou will have proven experience with Solvency UK Internal Model development, implementation and validation as well as a strong understanding of general insurance and market risks. An enthusiasm for general insurance and be confident in decision making. You will have the ability to communicate effectively and present complex information appropriately to non-technical audiences at all levels of the business. To join our team, you must also have: Degree educated or equivalent experience. Significant experience in GI capital modelling and delivering improved capital analysis including reporting to risk committees and / or the Board.Experience in ORSA reporting and activities, such as stress 'scenario testing and solvency monitoring.Strong analytical skills including ability to solve complex business problems using analytical and statistical methods and knowledge of the latest industry developments in actuarial modelling.
