About this roleWe are looking for an Android Software Engineer to join our team in London. This role involves defining product features in collaboration with multiple teams while taking technical ownership by delivering high-quality, production-ready software. These are some of the key components to the position: Product Definition - contribute to the definition of product features, getting involved in workshops with other engineering teams and Product ManagersTechnical Ownership - consistently produce high-quality software which fits the team’s expectations and best practicesTracking Progress - track the progress being made towards the wider goals of the team, and transparently communicates this with the team and Technology ManagerOperating - take responsibility for deploying and supporting their changes all the way through to prove that they work well - and continue to work well - in productionCommunicate - transparently communicate on your progress and discuss ideas with your team and Technology Manager. Share new development practices, patterns, standards with the teamContinuous improvement - improve the team’s effectiveness by proposing and implementing new processes, designs and engineering practicesGet involved in the definition of product features, and in workshops with your team.What will you bring to the team?Kotlin, Android Architecture , unit testing, integration testingIntegration with server-side APIs in Microservices architectureUnderstanding of developing software in isolated and reusable componentsAn understanding of code design for efficiency and readabilityKnowledge and experience of experimentation and A/B testing.Experience working with an Agile methodologyExperience working in a Continuous Delivery cycleGood written and spoken skillsDemonstrates self-starting skills (working independently to complete tasks)Aptitude to learn through a variety of resources (online, pairing, shadowing)At JET, this is how we playOur teams forge connections internally and work with some of the best-known brands on the planet, giving us truly international impact in a dynamic environment.
