This is a fantastic opportunity offering great rates of pay and room to grow and progress.What are the benefits?As a Class 1 Shunter Driver you will receive the following benefits: Excellent hourly ratesOngoing workWeekly pay Training providedImmediate starts Day to Day Duties:Your duties as a Class 1 Shunter Driver will involve but not be limited to: Shunting of 45ft and double deck trailers onto allocated baysOperate and drive various Class 1 vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locationsDaily yard checks following site rules, health and safety guidelines Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properlyAdhere to traffic laws and regulationsCommunicate effectively with dispatch and customersReport any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to managementAble to cover trunking routes when required. Essential Skills:As a Class 1 Shunter Driver you will need to: Hold a valid UK Category CE Licence Minimum of twelve months experience driving and shuntingNo more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes Have a valid UK CPC Card and UK Digi CardMust be able to speak and read a good level of EnglishPunctuality and excellent time keeping skillsHave a good understanding of traffic laws and regulationsExcellent communication as you will be communicating with both transport and warehouse and using a radio is essential to the role Desirable Experience: Experience working in a fast-paced environment Training: Drivers assessment must be completedIndustry related training and ongoing support throughout Contact:This client values its workers and provides an excellent working environment.
