Main duties of the jobThe appointee will be required to be sufficiently flexible to undertake main clinical duties at any of the sites within the region and/or to change base hospital. The appointee, together with consultant colleagues, will be responsible for the provision of adult neurological services to Barnsley and Sheffield Teaching Hospitals. They will contribute to the routine outpatient general neurological workload, provide a ward liaison service at Barnsley Hospital, as well as general and sub-specialty clinics in Sheffield at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital and the Northern General Hospital. The post holder may be required to cover for colleagues during periods of absence and will have continuing responsibility for patients in their care and the proper functioning of the Department.
