Job Title: General Operative x2Location: St Neots, Cambridgeshire, PE19 6NESalary: Competitive depending on experienceJob Type: Permanent, Full TimeWorking Hours: 47.5 hours per week - Thursday to MondayAbout Us:Envar is a producer and supplier of high quality soil improver, woodland garden mulch, wood chip and biomass. We operate green waste composting sites across England with sites in Surrey, Northamptonshire, West London, Essex, Kent and Suffolk as well as our flagship site in Cambridgeshire where we also process food waste. In addition to composting Envar also recycle coffee grounds.About the role:We're currently looking for a couple of General Operatives to operate mobile plant effectively always following Health and Safety procedures and policies.Duties and Responsibilities:Operate appropriate machinery and plant, as required, to maintain the safe and efficient operation of the site at all times, in particular 360 Material Handler, Wheeled Loading Shovels.Ensure that plant and machinery is maintained to required standards, including daily & weekly checks, refuelling, lubrication and greasing, and that defects and breakdowns are promptly recorded and reportedReport and immediately complete defect reportsComply with site rules, H&S regulations and follow safe systems of workMaintain a safe working environment throughout your activities, including keeping working area tidy and access to walkways and emergency exits clearDeliver a high standard of customer care and service qualityEnsure appropriate safety equipment and PPE is used at all timesImmediately report: any contamination or non-conforming wastes delivered to site; accidents, incidents, and near misses; environmental hazards; health & safety breaches to the Supervisor or appropriate ManagerUndertake any training necessary to perform other tasks including the operation of other plant and equipment and/or supervisory dutiesComplete Manual Handling activities to assist in waste management activitiesAssist other operatives upon request and when authorised by your SupervisorCarry out other operational duties where necessary for business continuityAbout you:Essentials:Safe operation of mobile plantGood CommunicationAble to work safely and follow H&S policy and proceduresA good attitude to environmental issuesFlexibility where neededTime ManagementPay attention to detailAbility to work alone or in a teamPositive AttitudeMinimum 2 years 360 and wheeled loading shovel experienceDesirable:Experience in the Waste IndustryTickets for mobile and/or fixed plantBenefits:Life Insurance with access to GP24Commitment to wellbeing through Employee Assistance ProgrammeElectric Car salary sacrifice scheme for eligible employeesCycle to work schemeCompany EventsGymFlex salary sacrificePlease click the APPLY button to submit your CV for this roleCandidates with experience or relevant job titles of Warehouse General Operative, Production Operative, Operations Assistant, Factory Operative, and General Labourer - Manufacturing & Logistics may also be considered.JBRP1_UKTJ
