This site has been recognised with national awards and holds one of the highest internal compliance audit ratings within the group.The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of health, safety, and environmental compliance, ensuring site-wide engagement and legal adherence in a complex, fast-paced bakery environment. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams including operations, engineering, quality, and technical, driving safe behaviours and supporting audit readiness, training, and continuous improvement.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the development and execution of the site’s HSE strategyImplement and monitor controls for dust inhalation risks (flour, spices, allergens)Support and lead on internal, external, and customer audits, ensuring readiness and responsivenessConduct and manage incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actionsCoach and influence teams at all levels in health and safety best practicesHelp maintain and improve the site’s industry-recognised audit status and safety certificationsSupport safe implementation of new projects and process changesAbout YouThis role is ideal for a seasoned HSE professional with a background in food manufacturing or a similar regulated environment. You’ll be confident working in a role that demands both strategic planning and operational execution.
