Job Title: S&OP ManagerLocation: Barnsley, UKJob Summary:Elevation Procurement & Supply Chain are support a fast paced manufacturing organisation in the search and selection of a dynamic and experienced S&OP Manager, to join our team in Barnsley. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in demand planning and forecasting, with a proven track record in systems development and managing the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process. This role will be pivotal in driving cross-functional alignment and ensuring optimal inventory management and supply chain efficiency.Ideally you will be available immediately to start or be available at a maximum 1 month notice period. Key Responsibilities:- Lead the S&OP process, facilitating monthly meetings and driving consensus across Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Finance teams.- Develop and implement robust demand planning and forecasting models to improve accuracy and reliability of predictions.- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather insights and data, ensuring all market trends and demands are accounted for in forecasting.- Monitor inventory levels and optimize stock management to balance cost efficiency with service level requirements.- Drive the development and enhancement of S&OP systems and tools, ensuring they meet business needs and are aligned with best practices.- Analyse data and performance metrics to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.- Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, providing regular updates and insights to senior management on S&OP activities and performance.- Train and mentor team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the demand planning function.- Ensure compliance with company policies, regulations, and industry standards.Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field- Minimum of 5 years experience in S&OP management, demand planning, or related field.- Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in forecasting software and ERP systems.- Proven experience in systems development and process optimization.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams.- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.- Knowledge of industry best practices and trends in supply chain management and S&OP.- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel; experience with advanced analytics tools is a plus.Benefits:- Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses- Comprehensive health and wellness benefits- Opportunities for professional development and career advancement- Collaborative and innovative work environmentJoin them in Barnsley as an S&OP Manager, and play a key role in shaping the future of their supply chain planning operations.
