The home is committed to promoting positive development, safety, and wellbeing through a compassionate, values-driven approach.About the Role We’re looking for motivated and experienced Senior Support Workers to cover flexible shifts within the home. You’ll lead shifts, supervise staff, and provide high-quality care for young people. The role involves supporting daily activities, education, and statutory meetings, ensuring a therapeutic and consistent approach.Key ResponsibilitiesLead shifts, supervise staff, and ensure consistent, high-quality care in line with regulationsSupport young people’s daily routines, education, therapy, and personal developmentImplement care plans, risk assessments, and LAC documentation, attending statutory meetings as requiredSafeguard young people, manage challenging behaviours, and promote positive outcomesBuild strong relationships with families, social workers, and external professionalsAssist with household tasks, budgeting, and maintaining a safe, homely environmentContribute to staff induction, training, and professional developmentComplete accurate reports, records, and administrative dutiesProvide cover for management when requiredPerson Specification QualificationsNVQ Level 3 or 4 in Children and Young People Workforce (essential)ExperienceSupporting young people aged 12–17 with emotional and behavioural difficulties in a residential settingLeading shifts and supervising staff teamsCompleting reports and attending multi-agency meetingsExperience with ASC, mental health, or complex needs (desirable)Skills & AttributesStrong leadership, communication, and teamwork skillsResilient, empathetic, and able to manage challenging behaviourFlexible, person-centred, and committed to safeguardingDriver preferred but not essential
