Senior Product Manager (Contract)£550–625 per day | Outside IR356-month contractRemote (occasional travel to Leeds)We’re looking for an experienced Senior Product Manager to step into a strategic leadership role across a diverse digital portfolio. This is a high-impact contract where you’ll bring proven expertise in digital product leadership, guiding delivery teams and senior stakeholders through key programme milestones.What you’ll be doing:Take ownership of an established digital product portfolio, ensuring smooth knowledge transfer from the outgoing Product Manager.Provide strategic leadership, influencing investment decisions and engaging senior stakeholders.Act as the escalation point across multiple delivery teams, ensuring milestones are delivered to time and standard.Shape and drive digital product strategies while supporting the adoption of new operating models.Mentor and coach Senior Product Managers and the wider product team, embedding GDS standards and building capability across the product lifecycle.What we’re looking for:Strong, proven track record of leading complex digital product portfolios at a strategic level.Experience working with senior leaders and executives, with the ability to set direction and influence decision-making.Deep understanding of product management best practice, including Government Digital Service Standards.Evidence of developing and coaching product teams, growing capability and confidence across the lifecycle.Comfortable operating in fast-paced, complex environments with multiple stakeholders and priorities.This is a chance to make a real impact from day one, providing the leadership needed to deliver a large portfolio while helping to shape the long-term future of the product function.
