Very good salary to be negotiated.We are hiring a Satellite Mission Manager in Helsinki (on-site) on behalf of our client, a pioneering space company that is building the world’s most advanced hyperspectral satellite constellation and developing AI-powered analytics to turn spaceborne data into actionable insights.Their mission is to tackle some of today’s greatest challenges — from climate change to food security — by providing organizations with timely and reliable intelligence to optimize operations, manage resources efficiently, and build a more sustainable future.Your RoleAs Satellite Mission Manager, you will be the critical link between our hyperspectral satellite missions and the clients relying on timely, actionable data. You’ll oversee mission planning, delivery, and customer onboarding—ensuring that our intelligence offerings meet both technical standards and client expectations.Key ResponsibilitiesLead mission coordination from in-orbit planning to data delivery—ensuring timely deployment, oversee pre-launch readiness and early mission phases for new satellite deployments and track mission KPIs and proactively flag issues or opportunities to improve process, performance and to deliver seamless client experiences.Identifying mission and platform specifications from customer or internal requirements and following development and design reviews to delivery into productionLaunch and early operations management. Support launch team throughout launch procurement, preparation pre-shipment and on-site verifications and management of the launchManaging in-orbit missions through lifetime : Ensuring that product and operational requirements from fleet are fulfilledManaging major non conformances towards resolution with support of operations and engineering teamsPartner with commercial and product leads to define SLAs, pilot scopes, and mission timelines.Engage with clients to define mission goals, shape performance metrics, and align platform capabilities to user needs.Oversee in-orbit monitoring, anomaly resolution, and continuous service improvements in collaboration with engineering and analytics teams.Lead mission ramp-up and rollout for new satellite deploymentsQualificationsProven experience (5+ years) in mission operations, satellite operations, or technical project management—ideally within remote sensing, Earth observation, or space-focused analytics.3+ years in mission management, customer operations, or program management—preferably in EO, space services, or high-tech domains.Skilled at building customer trust, driving engagement, and ensuring needs are operationally met.Comfortable with data workflows and translating technical capabilities into customer-value outcomes.Strong problem-solver—adept at managing exceptions and improving workflows in mission environments.Collaborative mindset with exceptional communication across internal and external stakeholders.Analytical mindset paired with operational discipline—comfortable navigating technical challenges and customer needs.What do we offer?Work on cutting-edge satellite and AI technologiesA stimulating environment that values continuous learning and innovationComprehensive benefits: healthcare (incl. dental & psychotherapy), sports & culture perksRegular team activities and a collaborative, international cultureA workplace that embraces Finnish sisu (resilience) and encourages overcoming challenges togetherLocation: Helsinki, Finland (on-site)
