We are seeking an Early Years Teaching Assistant to support children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a Liverpool primary school. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to provide tailored support that promotes each child's development, wellbeing, and inclusion.Key Responsibilities:Provide one-to-one and small group support for children with SENAssist in the planning and delivery of engaging, play-based learning activitiesSupport children's social, emotional, and communication developmentHelp implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour strategiesMonitor and record progress, contributing to assessments and reviewsPromote a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environmentCollaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionalsSupport with personal care and mobility needs where requiredPerson Specification:Experience working with children in early years, ideally with SENUnderstanding of EYFS and child developmentPatient, empathetic, and adaptable approachStrong communication and teamwork skillsRelevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, Early Years, SEN training)Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection proceduresHays Specialist Recruitment Limited acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
