As a company at the forefront of AI regulation and ethical AI, we are seeking aPart-Time Legal Counselto ensure our operations, solutions, and partnerships align with evolving global AI and data protection laws. Location:RemoteHours:20 hours per weekSalary Range:$60,000 – $90,000 (annualized, based on part-time hours) Responsibilities:Provide legal guidance onAI governance, data privacy, and emerging AI regulationsacross multiple jurisdictions. Monitor and interpret AI-related laws and compliance frameworks, with a focus onEU (GDPR, AI Act), UK, UAE, and KSA regulatory landscapes . Advise oncompliance requirements for AI deployment, risk mitigation strategies, and ethical AI practices . Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, NDAs, and data processing agreements in line withglobal privacy and AI laws . Assist in developinginternal AI and data policiesthat align with legal and ethical best practices. Support HUX AI in engagements withregulators, industry bodies, and stakeholderson AI compliance matters. Conductlegal risk assessmentson AI products and services, ensuring alignment with global AI governance standards. Educate internal teams onAI ethics, data privacy, and risk managementthrough training sessions and legal updates. Provide legal support for partnerships, product development, and corporate matters within AI compliance. Preferred Qualifications:5-6+ years of legal experience, with a focus on AI, data protection, and technology law. Deep knowledge of EU GDPR, AI Act, UK data and AI laws, UAE (ADGM, DIFC) regulations, and Kingdom of Saudi Arabia data/AI frameworks. Experience advising on AI compliance, algorithmic accountability, and ethical AI frameworks. Strong understanding of cross-border data transfers, regulatory reporting, and AI-related contract negotiation. Ability to develop and implement legal policies and compliance frameworks for AI-driven solutions. Excellent contract drafting, negotiation, and regulatory interpretation skills. Experience working with startups, technology firms, or AI governance-focused companies preferred. Passion for AI governance, ethics, and the legal landscape shaping AI adoption worldwide.
