Job OverviewWe are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating standard and Reach forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, locate, and load/unload materials within our warehouse. This role is crucial for maintaining efficient operations and ensuring the safe handling of goods.ResponsibilitiesOperate standard and reach forklifts and other warehouse equipment to transport materials safely and efficiently.Load and unload goods from lorries and containers, ensuring proper placement and securing of items.Perform regular inspections of equipment to ensure it is in good working condition and report any mechanical issues.Assist in the organisation of warehouse inventory using a Warehouse Management System (WMS).Engage in heavy lifting and materials handling as required, adhering to safety protocols at all times.Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.Collaborate with team members in shipping, producing and receiving processes to ensure timely delivery of goods.ExperiencePrevious experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting is essential.Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic equipment repairsFamiliarity with shipping and receiving processes, as well as basic maths skills for inventory management, is preferred.Proven ability to handle heavy lifting and materials handling tasks safely.Experience with warehouse management systems will be considered an asset.Join us in this vital role where your skills will contribute to our operational successJob Type: Full-timePay: 12.50-15.00 per hourExpected hours: 50 per weekBenefits:Free parkingOn-site parkingAbility to commute/relocate:Huntingdon: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)Licence/Certification:Driving Licence (required)Forklift Licence (Reach and Standard) (required)Work authorisation:United Kingdom (required)Work Location: In personReference ID: FLD1
