THE OPPORTUNITY Our client, a Tier 1 Product Safety & Product Liability practice based in London, is seeking an experienced qualified lawyer to join their dynamic and highly regarded disputes team. The role offers exposure to technically challenging matters and the chance to make a real impact in a practice that is widely recognised as a leader in this field.THE TEAM Our clients disputes group is organised into four practice areas: Commercial Disputes, Finance Disputes, Global Investigations, and Employment & Immigration.The Product Safety & Product Liability team sits within Commercial Disputes and offers unrivalled expertise in:Safety risk assessments, pre-launch audits, and regulatory complianceProduct recalls and crisis managementProduct liability claims under the Consumer Protection Act 1987 and in negligenceGroup litigation, regulatory investigations, and criminal prosecutionsWith a Tier 1 ranking, the team is well-known for its involvement in landmark group actions and complex disputes for leading manufacturers and retailers.Examples of their work include:Defending claims in major group actions, including Diesel Emissions litigation and other high-profile product liability casesManaging large-scale compensation schemes, including those linked to the Post Office Horizon ScandalAdvising global brands on urgent product recalls and supplier disputesRepresenting leading life sciences and FMCG businesses in multi-jurisdictional litigationKEY RESPONSIBILITIESAdvise on product safety and liability matters, including complex claims and high-profile group actionsManage product recalls and compliance strategies across multiple jurisdictionsHandle high-value, multi-jurisdictional disputes across diverse industriesContribute to business development and internal knowledge initiativesDeliver pragmatic, commercially focused legal adviceMentor and supervise junior team members (depending on seniority)WHAT WERE LOOKING FORAt least 3 years PQE in product liability and product safety/regulatory work, including coordinating product recallsStrong understanding of UK and EU legal frameworks and recent regulatory developmentsProven experience managing client relationshipsInterest in business development and growing client accountsStrong cross-disciplinary collaboration skillsSupervisory or team leadership experience is desirableWHY APPLY?
