You will collaborate closely with key colleagues, external services, and families to ensure timely and appropriate referrals to external agencies. Your proactive and responsive approach will be critical in promoting a safe and supportive learning environment for all students across the organisation.Skills and QualificationsRecent experience of working in safeguarding within an education or community setting.Experience of youth engagement, advice and guidance or education with young people. Ideally, your experience will be within post-16 education (FE) and involve managing a range of safeguarding cases.A strong working knowledge of confidentiality, child protection, data protection/consent, and anti-discriminatory and trauma-informed practice.Level 2 Literacy and Numeracy (or equivalent), a Level 3 Safeguarding qualification, and ideally, a further Level 3 qualification in a general vocation (though not essential).Department InfoYou'll join a dedicated and collaborative Student Support team, working closely with Campus Safeguarding Leads, Attendance and Pastoral Officers, Mentors, Personal Development Coordinators, and Curriculum staff, along with wider college teams.
