Our Client based in Durham is looking for a Highways Operative. You will have the necessary skills to undertake the maintenance and construction of roads, bridges, drainage, highways electrical and associated works and to ensure a personal high quality of workmanship at all times. Duties of a Highways Operative - In the provision of skilled operational activities including the need to work to precise levels and requirements, in construction work in a number of tasks. Such tasks may include, but are not necessarily restricted to: Kerbing, flagging, block paving, drainage, walling, fencing and guardrails, steel-fixing, formwork, concreting, erection of timber and metal structures, operating specialist plant and machinery, winter maintenance and undertake maintenance on public rights of way. Use of a range of hand and powered tools, equipment, small and heavy powered plant and machinery. The post holder may also be required to operate complex powered plant and machinery requiring specialist skills. The post holder will require a number of the above skills but not necessary all, however they must have the ability to provide specialist skills in at least one of the areas covered in the points above. You must have: a valid CSCS card 6 months experience in a similar post last 2 years of checkable work history with no gaps Ideally a valid Full UK driving Licence Monday - Friday 7.30am - 3.30pm TPBN1_UKTJ
