Mobile Mechanical Maintenance EngineerLocation: Wolverhampton (With travel across the UK)Employment Type: PermanentSalary: £40,000-£45,000 + Company Vehicle + Overtime availableHours: Fulltime Mon-FriCompany DescriptionOperating for over 45 years, this organisation provides complete Mechanical and Electrical services across a wide range of sectors including Industrial, Logistics, Food, Pharmaceutical, Data Centre, Mining, Healthcare, Commercial, Hotel & Leisure, High-End Residential, Public, and Energy.From design stage through installation and ongoing maintenance, their highly skilled workforce delivers efficient, reliable, and best-in-class service to clients.A multi-award-winning business, the company prides itself on being a full building services solutions provider and has successfully delivered multiple large-scale projects across Ireland, the UK, and mainland Europe.Job DescriptionComplete a range of Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) tasks and inspections in line with SFG20 requirements.Carry out and document daily, weekly, monthly, and 6-monthly PPM tasks, ensuring accurate completion of check sheets and reports.Maintain effective communication with the client’s site engineering team.Produce weekly reports for the FM supervisor detailing site activities and planned works.Maintain electrical and mechanical plant services to industry standards.Oversee contractor activities, ensuring compliance with risk assessments, method statements, and QHSE permitting.Schedule subcontractor visits while ensuring compliance with client security protocols.Demonstrate technical knowledge of critical environments, including AHUs, Boilers, Heat Exchangers, BeMS, pumps, control circuits, FCUs, fresh air and ventilation systems, chilled and controlled water systems, LTHW systems, and H&V systems.Identify part replacements and obtain quotations for condition maintenance plans.Ensure statutory engineering maintenance documentation is maintained and accessible.Oversee completion of PPMs and Client Service Requests in line with SLAs.Ensure compliance with audit requirements, including reviewing site SOPs, ERA’s, and scenario training.Adhere to QHSE procedures and implement improvements identified during inspections.Take part in technical training requirements, including competency assessments and scenario training exercises.Participate in the out-of-hours call-out rota for site facilities.Accountable to the FM Supervisor/Manager/Coordinator.No direct budgetary responsibility, but financial awareness is required.Flexibility in service delivery around client needs.Person SpecificationStrong experience in data centres or similar cleanroom/production environments.Proficiency in PC and MS Office applications.Recognised NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering / Plumbing / HVAC or equivalent.Excellent fault diagnosis skills.Experience with BMS Controls and HVAC systems.Strong technical knowledge with the ability to project manage and multitask.Ability to meet high standards against agreed timescales with minimal supervision.Knowledge of emergency response, standby, and call-out protocols.Experience with UPS, standby power, lifts, boilers, and HVAC systems.QualificationsFull UK Driving LicenseIOSH Managing SafelyAdvanced Level 3 NVQ in Mechanical trade (Mechanical Engineering / Plumbing / HVAC or equivalent)Proven experience in commercial mechanical maintenanceGood understanding of mechanical systems (heating, ventilation, air conditioning, pumps, etc.)Strong communication and customer service skillsAbility to work independently and manage your own scheduleDesirable:C&G Air Source Heat Pump Systems (2924)C&G F GAS and ODS Regulations (2079)IPAF, PASMA, or other access-related qualificationsBenefits include:Competitive salaryProfessional development supportEmployee Assistance ProgramHealth and Wellness initiatives
