They will be passionate not just about writing code but contributing to a project which makes a difference. We believe in being transparent in all our dealings; acting fairly, openly and honestly in everything we do.You will:Design, develop, test and deliver well engineered code, collaborating with Product to ensure that we are releasing value early and oftenWork closely with the existing team – reviewing code, discussing solutions and being involved in refinement sessionsDrive continuous improvement through code reviews, system design to ensure that all code is clean, consistent and secureMaintain an up-to-date knowledge of development languages, frameworks, tools and design patternsPromptly escalate issues that affect product delivery and qualityMaintain and manage our Continuous Integration and Delivery pipelines and toolingHave a passion to learn and continually improveProvide on-call 24/7 rota for the server team apps and meet agreed SLAs for MTTRYou have:5+ years' experience of commercial full stack developmentYou write clean, testable code and expect others to do the sameYou have excellent problem-solving skillsGood understanding of asynchronous programmingYou take ownership and responsibility for your workStrong knowledge of NodeJS and have experience building/maintaining a Node backendStrong knowledge of Typescript or another typed programming languageGood React knowledgeGood understanding of MySQL or a similar relational databaseExperience using Elasticsearch or a similar NoSQL databaseExperience working with messaging systems / pub-subExperience writing automated testsAwareness and passion for working in an agile environmentExperience of modern web and server-side RESTful developmentExperience with GitExperience of developer testing approachesExperience of build and Continuous Integration pipelines and toolsExperience of TDD and BDDYou may have:Knowledge of NestJS frameworkExperience working with an ORMKnowledge of Scala and functional programmingKnowledge of AWS services and infrastructure monitoringExperience working with AWS Lambda functionsExperience working with microservices / micro frontendsExperience working with Docker / ECSExperience with Netty and Akka or other non-blocking, multi-threaded IO librariesExperience working with Jenkins/Bitbucket PipelinesExperience in deployment and maintenance of Linux based serversPlease note that we are only able to accept applicants with the right to live and work in the UK without the need for sponsorship.
