We are recruiting for a highly skilled Locum Sonographer to join a dynamic clinical team within an NHS setting. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional looking to contribute to patient care and reduce waiting list times through high-quality ultrasound services.As a Locum Sonographer, you will play a key role in the delivery of diagnostic imaging services. You will perform a wide range of ultrasound scans and ensure all procedures meet high clinical standards. Your focus will be on delivering safe, effective, and compassionate care to patients while maintaining excellent communication with colleagues.Key Responsibilities:Conduct ultrasound scans across a broad range of areas, including:Musculoskeletal pre-steroid injection imagingSuperficial lumps (neck, axilla, groin)Gynaecological (transabdominal and transvaginal)Renal, bladder, prostateScrotal/testicularAccurately report and document findings in line with clinic and NHS policies,Ensure the highest standards of patient care, safety, dignity, and confidentialityMaintain current knowledge of sonographic practices, protocols, and equipmentParticipate in clinical audits, CPD, and ongoing quality improvementCollaborate with front-of-house and clinical staff to support efficient service deliveryJob RequirementsEssential:Minimum of 2 years' post-qualification ultrasound experienceAt least 6 months of recent NHS experience within the last 2 yearsHCPC registration or equivalent professional body recognitionPostgraduate qualification in Medical Ultrasound (e.g., PG Diploma or MSc)Strong communication and interpersonal skillsProven commitment to patient-centred care and clinical excellenceDesirable:Experience working across multiple specialities (e.g., MSK, Gynae, Abdominal)Previous involvement in clinical audit or quality assurance projectsAbout Castlefield and how to apply:Castlefield Recruitment is a leading specialist in healthcare recruitment, connecting talented healthcare professionals with exceptional opportunities across the UK.We are committed to supporting your career journey and ensuring you find a role that aligns with your skills and aspirations.To apply for this role, please submit your CV via the apply button.
