Key role of a CNC Machinist: Set up and operate CNC lathes to manufacture precision components. Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to produce parts to specified tolerances. Select and set up appropriate tools, fixtures, and materials for each job. Perform machine setups and tool changes efficiently, ensuring minimal downtime. Measure and inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools (callipers, micrometres, gauges) to ensure they meet specifications. Conduct regular in-process checks to ensure components maintain dimensional accuracy. The CNC Machinist should have the following skills and experience: Proven experience as a CNC Machinist or similar role in precision machining. Experienced working in Aerospace (not essential) Skilled in the use of precision measuring tools such as micrometres, callipers, and gauges.
