CNC Programmer/Machinist Location: Birmingham Salary: 42,000 - 45,000 Hours: 38 hours based on Days Overview: This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced CNC setter programmer or machinist to join a professional team within a modern, clean, and well-run facility based in Birmingham. Key Responsibilities of CNC programmer/machinist Programming, setting, and operating CNC machines Come from either turning or milling background Working with FANUC, Siemens, and G-code control systems. Interpreting and working from detailed engineering drawings. Setting tools, understanding cutting speeds and feeds, and carrying out boring, drilling, and threading operations. Ensuring high levels of accuracy and consistency while working to tight tolerances. Confident use of inspection and measurement equipment including verniers, bore gauges, micrometres, etc Maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organised work environment. Experience required for CNC programmer/machinist: A minimum of 1 year of experience in CNC programming. Solid background in CNC milling or turning equipment. Preferably experience with CAD/CAM systems. Someone who is highly motivated, communicates well, and works effectively as part of a team. A proactive attitude, flexibility, and the ability to prioritise tasks and manage time efficiently. A willingness to learn and continuously improve Contract details for CNC programmer/Machinist: Double Day shift - Monday to Thursday 0730 - 1600 Overtime premium over 38 hours 25 days annual leave plus BH Free parking Pension What next? .
