We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to ensure the efficient movement of goods within our warehouse. This role is crucial for maintaining the flow of operations, including loading and unloading shipments, as well as managing inventory effectively. Responsibilities Operate forklifts/bendi and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently. Load and unload goods from lorries and containers, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage. Move materials within the warehouse, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Assist in shipping and receiving processes, verifying accuracy of shipments against documentation. Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring all equipment is in good working condition. Utilise a Warehouse Management System (WMS) for tracking inventory levels and locations. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks and adherence to deadlines. Skills Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting. Strong mechanical knowledge to perform basic maintenance on equipment. Ability to lift heavy loads safely and efficiently. Familiarity with warehouse operations, including shipping and receiving processes. Experience with materials handling techniques and best practices. Proficient in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) for inventory management. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills to maintain accurate records.
