Eating Distress North East (EDNE) are seeking a Services Manager to lead and develop their counselling and therapy services. This is a key leadership role, ensuring services are safe, inclusive, and responsive to client needs while supporting the professional growth of the therapeutic team. You will: Lead day-to-day delivery of counselling and therapy services. Manage rotas, referrals, assessments, waiting lists, and outcomes monitoring. Provide inspiring leadership and line management to staff, placements, and volunteers. Act as joint safeguarding lead, ensuring best practice in safeguarding children and adults. Develop policies, procedures, and quality standards to support safe and effective services. Build strong partnerships with the NHS, funders, and other stakeholders. Contribute to fundraising, commissioning, and contract bids. Deputise for the CEO when required. About you This role is ideal for someone with a strong track record of managing counselling or therapeutic services and a passion for making a difference in the lives of people affected by eating distress. You will bring: At least two years experience managing counselling/therapy services in health, charity, or community settings. Experience managing staff, volunteers, or placements. Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and support a team. Knowledge of safeguarding, monitoring and evaluation, and counselling/psychotherapy frameworks (BACP/UKCP). Experience of partnership working, ideally with NHS or statutory services. Excellent organisational, communication, and digital skills.
