OverviewWe’re on the lookout for someone enthusiastic to join our IT Branch Systems team at Booker. If you’re great with technology and enjoy helping people, this could be the role for you. Day to day, you’ll be supporting our Business Centres by keeping IT systems running smoothly. That means spotting and solving any issues with our branch software or hardware, so colleagues can get on with their work and our customers stay happy. You’ll need a good general knowledge of IT, an interest in tech support, and strong communication skills – being able to explain things clearly is just as important as fixing them. The role is mainly Monday to Friday during office hours, but now and then you might need to help out at weekends or take part in our on-call rota when needed. ResponsibilitiesProviding support to your IS Manager. Maintain and manage relevant documentation. Ensure that the Technical Support call queue is kept within a manageable size. Ensure all documentation, including asset register is kept updated in conjunction with other teams and 3 rd party provider Qualifications / RequirementsPrevious experience in an IT Support role is beneficial but not essential if the candidate can show a willingness to learn and develop Good understanding of Retail IT hardware and software. An understanding of MIDAS (Booker’s stock and sales system) is an advantage but not compulsory.
