Senior Quantity Surveyor Location: Hertfordshire (serving London & the Southeast) Salary Guide: 60,000 - 75,000 PA , depending on experience Package & Benefits details available upon application We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Quantity Surveyor join the commercial team of this award-winning structural access and support contractor. In this key role, you will manage the commercial, financial, and contractual aspects of scaffolding projects from contract award through to final account. This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of high-profile projects. Key Responsibilities Lead the commercial and contractual management of multiple scaffolding projects, ensuring profitability, compliance, and timely delivery. Negotiate contract terms, manage risks, and prepare accurate cost forecasts, valuations, and reports. Manage subcontractor procurement, accounts, payments, and variations, ensuring compliance with legal and contractual requirements. Prepare and submit payment applications, CVRs, and cash flow forecasts. Work closely with contract managers, site supervisors, and senior leadership to deliver projects on budget and on program. Build and maintain strong client, supplier, and stakeholder relationships to support repeat and future business. Mentor and support junior surveyors, fostering professional development and high performance. Ensure all work aligns with company procedures, quality standards, and health, safety, and environmental policies. Requirements: Proven experience in a senior surveying role, ideally within scaffolding or construction. Strong knowledge of JCT contracts with the ability to manage complex commercial and contractual matters. Understanding of scaffolding systems, construction methods, and cost management processes. Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects to tight deadlines with confidence and adaptability. Demonstrated leadership and mentoring ability.
