Acting as an extension of their recruitment teams, we connect them with skilled interim and temporary professionals, fostering workplaces where everyone can contribute and succeed. On behalf of Arup , we are looking for a HR Business Partner for an initial 6-month contract based in Birmingham/London, hybrid (2 days/week in the office). Purpose of the role: Arup Digital Products (ADP) is a newly established, wholly Arup-owned global company with around 100 staff across the UK, India, China, US, and Japan, focused on commercialising digital products. Operating independently of Arup's regional structure, it leverages Arup's people's practices where suitable and aims to grow rapidly over the first three years, aligning its operations and performance management with the software industry. The role involves working with the ADP leadership team to deliver the business strategy, develop and execute the people strategy, ensure global compliance, and handle early-stage people priorities alongside standard business partner responsibilities. What you'll do: Contractually second current staff to new companies and establish new employing entities with compliant recruitment processes globally. Develop and implement an attractive employee value proposition to retain talent. Plan and manage significant headcount growth with leadership and on-boarding strategies. Establish effective corporate governance and leadership structures to ensure delivery at pace. Design and implement variable pay/incentive schemes for sales staff and align HR practices with software industry standards. Act as a strategic HR partner, aligning HR strategy with business objectives and supporting the People Strategy. Drive talent acquisition and build organisational capacity for product and sales roles across key markets (UK, India, US, China). Promote employee engagement, inclusion, and high-performance culture globally. Implement and maintain global performance management systems to support development and succession planning. The skills you'll need: A seasoned HR professional with deep experience in at least 2-3 disciplines including talent acquisition. Experienced in dealing with Mergers and Acquisitions Comfortable working independently and directly with leadership, whilst maintaining collaborative ways of working with the global HR team. Experienced in working globally across different countries and cultures Experienced in managing organisational change, ideally in a growth context with the opportunity to shape culture and ways of working.
