MIG and TIG Welder Job Description Job Overview We are seeking a skilled MIG and TIG Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in welding techniques, including the ability to assemble and fabricate metal components with precision. Duties Perform MIG and TIG welding on various materials, ensuring adherence to specifications and safety standards. Assemble components using hand tools and power tools, demonstrating proficiency in both. Must have experience with Aluminium, Mild Steel and using jigs and fixtures Fabricate metal parts from sheet metal according to engineering drawings and specifications. Conduct inspections of welded joints to ensure structural integrity and quality. Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored. Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while meeting deadlines. Utilise basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to welding tasks. Demonstrate mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues as they arise. Skills Proficient in MIG and TIG welding techniques, with experience in stick welding considered an advantage. Strong ability to assemble and fabricate metal components accurately. Familiarity with operating hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Solid understanding of sheet metal properties and welding processes. Excellent mechanical knowledge, enabling effective problem-solving during fabrication tasks. Basic maths skills for precise measurements and calculations related to welding projects. Attention to detail, ensuring high-quality workmanship in all tasks undertaken.
