Duties Deliver mail and packages to residential and commercial addresses in a timely manner. Operate delivery vehicles safely, adhering to all traffic regulations. Sort and organise mail for efficient route planning. Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery times and any issues that may arise. Perform basic maintenance checks on the delivery vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Handle heavy lifting of parcels as required, ensuring proper lifting techniques are used to prevent injury. Maintain accurate records of deliveries and any discrepancies encountered during the route. Experience Previous experience as a delivery driver is highly desirable. Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and practices is beneficial. Experience in warehouse operations is an advantage, particularly in sorting and handling packages. Strong driving skills with a valid driver's licence are essential. Excellent communication skills are necessary for interacting with customers and team members. Ability to perform heavy lifting consistently throughout the day is required.
