Teaching Assistant - Outstanding SEN Primary School, Southampton Academics are looking for passionate and committed Teaching Assistants to join an outstanding SEN primary school based in Southampton. This is an ongoing role, with a potential to move from temporary to permanent, working Monday to Friday during term time. To be considered, you must commit to these days as the school values consistency for its pupils. This Southampton-based school supports children aged 4 to 11 with complex learning difficulties, including autism and sensory needs. The role of a Teaching Assistant here is crucial, as you will work closely with pupils who have Educational Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), helping them thrive in a calm, supportive environment designed to meet their unique needs. You will be expected to support learning activities, assist with communication strategies such as Makaton and PECs, and help pupils engage fully in both classroom and sensory experiences. As a Teaching Assistant, your adaptability, patience, and dedication will make a real difference in these children's lives. Requirements: GCSEs or equivalent in English and Maths A current DBS or willingness to submit one Commitment to working Monday to Friday, term time only Successful registration through Academics' with the support of a dedicated consultant or resourcer This position offers 88.94 per day and is based in Southampton, a city known for its vibrant community and commitment to inclusive education.
