OverviewLocum Optometrist position with a leading provider of optical care at home. Location: Beckenham and surrounding areas in South East London. Days: 3-5 days per week (no weekends). Rate: Daily rate + Commission. Travel may be up to 50 miles from your home postcode; some days are shorter and some longer, with clustering of patient visits in the same postcode region. Equipment is provided and training is given before working independently. Location details : Each day you’ll see a cluster of 6–7 patients within the same local area, with visits to their homes. Equipment and setup are designed to streamline testing. ResponsibilitiesHelp around 6-7 patients every day, visiting them in their own homes. Appointments are longer (1 hour) to enable stronger relationships and gold-standard care. Be trusted to make autonomous decisions and be supported by the senior optometrist team at head office for guidance or a second opinion when needed. Use the latest equipment, including a mobile slit lamp, I-care tonometer and our digital records system (no paperwork). What you will needEligibility to practise as an optometrist in the UK and willingness to perform domiciliary visits. Comfort with travel (typical travel up to 50 miles per day, clustering in the same postcode region). Ability to work 3-5 days per week with weekends off.
