Working pattern Thursday and Friday 8.30am 6pm. Salarywill depend on experience.Ideally you will be qualified and experienced in deliveringphlebotomy, long term condition reviews, wound care and assisting withcontraceptive procedures.Main duties of the jobECG Recording, Phlebotomy, LTC reviews, injections underPSD, vaccine clinics, testing of urine samples as requested by clinicians,diabetic foot checks, NHS Health Checks,) Wound Care, BP checks, chaperoningduties, processing and management of lab samples requested by GPs and Nurses,Vaccine and cold chain storage, monitoring and recording, stock control andstocking rooms, assisting with contraceptive services, administration asnecessary.About usWe area small, friendly GP Practice based in Seacroft, East Leeds and are looking foran enthusiastic and skilled individual to join our nursing team, either as aHealth Care Assistant or Nursing AssociateJob responsibilitiesECG recordingSpirometry (subject to necessary training)Injections under PSDTesting of urine samples as requested by cliniciansNHS Health ChecksBlood Pressure ChecksProcessing and management of laboratory samples requested byGPs/nursesVaccine/cold chain storage, monitoring and recordingSurgical equipment and vaccine re-stocking and stockrotationStock ordering, control and re-stocking consulting roomsClinical administration as necessaryPreparing and maintaining environments and equipment before,during and after patient care interventions, including assisting GPs during theperformance of minor operations and contraceptive proceduresAssisting in the assessment and surveillance of patientshealth and well-beingUndertaking specific clinical activities for named patientsthat have been delegated and taught specifically in relation to that individualHelping to raise awareness of health and well-being and howit can be promotedAssisting with the collection and collation of data on needsrelated to health and well-beingPerson SpecificationQualificationsExperience of working in a primary care or health care environment.Experience of working with the general public.Willing to adapt and develop as the Practice requires.SystmOne User SkillsDisclosure and Barring Service CheckThis post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
