We are seeking a Warranty Test Technician to join our dynamic engineering team in the automotive sector. This hands-on role involves inspecting, diagnosing, and analysing customer warranty returns to identify faults, determine liability, and drive corrective actions that improve product quality and reduce costs.Key Responsibilities:Conduct detailed inspection and diagnostics of returned units against specifications.Analyse warranty returns, claims, and costs to identify trends and root causes.Provide actionable feedback and escalate issues to support warranty cost reduction initiatives.Communicate technical findings to internal teams to support corrective and preventative actions.Collaborate across departments to improve build quality and reduce warranty claims.Maintain calibration systems and ensure all equipment is accurately calibrated.Prepare reports and present findings clearly and concisely.Contribute to continuous improvement projects and special initiatives as required.Skills & Experience:Previous experience in the automotive industry is essential.Understanding of fuel systems, hydraulic, and electromechanical systems (preferred).Experience using machinery and hand tools.Ability to interpret technical data and carry out root cause analysis.Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.Qualifications:GCSE Level A-C, IVQ Technician certificate, BTEC First Certificate, NVQ Level 2, or equivalent.Positive attitude and commitment to quality and company objectives.This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on technical work, problem-solving, and improving automotive product quality.
