Kane Contracts are a fast growing Civil Engineering Contractor working across the North and South of Ireland. Due to expansion, we are hiring multiple candidates to join our team as a Site Civil Engineer.We want our people to develop as fast as our business is. The successful candidate will get an all round view of projects from start to completion. This role is for someone who wants to gain experience and fast tracked towards site management. As site engineer you will be required to assist the site team with the completion of projects safely, on time and within budget to customers across the North and South of Ireland.We are seeking someone who is ambitious, willing to learn and looking to be part of a supportive team. With a strong pipeline of work, we are going through a phase of fast growth and the person will have a genuine say in the direction and growth of the company, with many possible future opportunities. The successful candidate is someone who leads by example and is not afraid to get stuck in to meet deadlines when required. Our civil engineering contract works include;Solar Farm ConstructionCommercial Construction - Filling Stations, Retail Units, Storage Facilities, etc.Public RealmsTraffic Management Systems and Car ParksSubstation Builds and Grid ConnectionsQualifications;Third level construction degree or equal experience/qualification1+ years of experience in Civil Engineering or related field (required)Essential;Excellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlinesAbility to work independently and as part of a team environmentProficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel and PowerpointAbility to read and understand construction drawings and specificationExperience using AutoCAD softwareSetting out experience using GPS/Total StationFull valid driving licenseDuties Include;The relaying of information to personnel onsiteEnsure that Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are followedSetting out of project works and undertaking of surveysCheck drawings and quantities to help with material ordersEfficient planning of work to ensure that site operations meet the agreed deadlines through lookaheads and weekly meetingsCommunicate and monitor effectively with the direct workforce and sub-contractors who are engaged in the project as necessaryDaily record keeping of site operations and submit weekly to our QS on the project to monitor cost and changesEnsure that quality records are kept in order to meet requirements Resolving of any technical issues that may arise with your project manager and client Additional ad hoc dutiesHow we will reward you;Competitive SalaryMobile PhoneLaptopCompany VanDaily allowance when working away from homeKane Contracts are a growing business offering many opportunities for the right candidate(s).To apply - email your CV to emma@ or phone our office on 028 8775 8449
