We are recruiting Area Service Managers/Care Coordinator for our Ballykelly branchPlease note: Criteria for this role is that you apply for an Enhanced AccessNI certificateWe offer our staff:Excellent hourly rateMileage paidAnnual leave on a pro rata basisNISCC - Post registration training learningOn-line learningTraining academies throughout Northern IrelandPractical paid trainingCPD approved certificate for trainingQCF Levels 2, 3 and 5 qualificationsInternal career progressionMentoring arrangementsExperienced care company with over 50 years in healthcareRecommend a Friend incentive - any of our staff who recommend someone who comes to work for NWCare will receive a voucher (no limit to number)Job SummaryTo organise and supervise the delivery of home care support services to Service Users in their own homesTo work in a flexible and reliable manner in response to the needs of the serviceTo manage a team of Home Care AssistantsTo reinforce and ensure compliance within the Domiciliary Care Agencies Minimum StandardsTo ensure that a quality care service is delivered to all Service UsersTo work within GDPR legislationMain ResponsibilitiesAccept, allocate and process referrals for new care packagesAccept and process changes and amendments to existing care packagesPrepare rotas by matching Service Users to domiciliary care workers, ensuring that the domiciliary care skills and competencies are compatibleMonitor and report changes in Service User condition to key workerOrganise and lead staff meetingsManage time sheets, prepare paperwork for payroll and notify payroll of variations as appropriate, via either manual or electronic process.Participate in the out of hours cover rota - excellent on-call rate paidUndertake Service User assessment and risk assessment for Service UsersMaintain accurate and confidential records in accordance with company policyAssist with the monitoring an evaluation of service provisionAssist Registered Manager in the recruitment of domiciliary care workersIdentify training and development needs within their team of domiciliary care workers and ensure induction training for new employeesEnsure Service User and care staff meet in accordance with company policy and procedures and ensure dignity, respect, equality and diversityRecord and report to the Registered Manager any compliments, complaints, accidents, incidents and untoward events and complete necessary documentationAssist the Registered Manager and Human Resources Manager in processes, when requiredProvide care package to Service Users in an emergency situationParticipate in mandatory training as requiredEnsure area PMMRs are within company benchmarkEnsure Services are managed in compliance with RQIA standardsEnsure an effective, safe and well led service deliveryCover the on-call phone on a rota basisQualifications and TrainingGood general education to include good numeracy and literacy skillsMinimum of QCF Level 2 in Health and Social CareExperienceAt least 12 months experience in a care settingExperience of coordinating rotasExperience of managing staffRegistrationNISCC (Northern Ireland Social Care Council) registration completed at training, if not already registeredRequirementEnhanced AccessNIRight to work in UKSkillsExcellent communication skills, written and oralAbility to respond to sudden changes in service delivery requirementsHigh standard of accuracyAbility to problem solve and exercise judgementA working knowledge of MS Office, e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.Ability to work cooperatively and effectively as part of a teamAbility to plan and prioritise workload in a highly organised wayCircumstancesFlexibility in working hours to respond to business needsCar driver with vehicle appropriately insured for business useFlexibility to work in other NWCare branches to meet business needsParticipate in the out of hours on-call rotaQCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent or aboveAdditionalNWCare wishes to ensure equal opportunity is given to all job applicants.
