Your Main Duties Will Include:Assisting with patient assessments and providing clinical care under the guidance of our medical team.Conducting immunisations, wound care, and other clinical procedures.Supporting chronic disease management and health promotion initiatives.Maintaining accurate medical records and documentation.Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and outcomes.About UsWe are a friendly and welcoming GP Practice in the heart of Killingworth, North Tyneside. The practice has a population of little over 5500 registered patients. We have 5 GPs supported by an excellent multi-disciplinary team of a Practice Nurse, HCA and Pharmacist. The practice teaches medical students from Newcastle and Sunderland University.Job DescriptionJob responsibilitiesThe following are the core responsibilities of the Nursing Associate in delivering health services:Deliver high quality, compassionate care while undertaking specific clinical and care tasks under the direction of a registered nurse (or other registered care professional) with a focus on promoting good health and independenceProvide high-quality holistic and person-centred care to individualsProvide routine care to patients as required in accordance with clinical based evidence, NICE and the NSFProvide wound care, dressings and other clinical tasks as requiredWork as part of the MDT to provide and monitor care, under direct or indirect supervision and ensure delivery of nursing associate dutiesImprove the safety and quality of care at every opportunityContribute to the delivery of integrated careWork with a supervisor to take responsibility for developing own clinical competence, leadership and reflective practice skills within the workplace and enable you to deal effectively with the difficult issues that people presentSupport registered nurses to enable them to be able to focus on the more complex clinical careDevelop relationships across the MDT to support the integration of the role across health and social care including primary care, secondary care and mental healthMaintain accurate and contemporaneous patient health records ensuring that clinical data is appropriately recorded with SNOMED codesPerform and record clinical observations such as blood pressure, temperature, respirations and pulse including appropriate codingProvide flu vaccinations, venepuncture and other relevant clinical tasks as required and in line with the competencies of the rolePromote health and wellbeing to all patients, for example undertaking the NHS health checkProvide support during minor operations as requiredPerson SpecificationExperienceEssentialExperience of working in a primary care environmentAbility to work effectively as a team player under appropriate supervision and as part of a multi-disciplinary teamInsight into how to evaluate own strengths and development needs, seeking advice where appropriateExperience of quality initiatives, i.e., benchmarkingUnderstanding of the scope of the role of the nursing associate in the context of the nursing and interdisciplinary team and the organisation and how the role may contribute to service developmentDesirableExperience of using SystmOneQualificationsEssentialRegistered nursing associate and on the Nursing and Midwifery Council registerMeets the specific qualification and training requirements as specified in the Nursing Midwifery Standards of proficiency by having undertaken and completed the two-year Foundation Degree delivered by a Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) approved providerDisclosure and Barring Service CheckThis post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.UK RegistrationApplicants must have current UK professional registration. #J-18808-Ljbffr
