Additional payments may also apply depending on location. We offer new colleagues a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, but we also have opportunities for fewer hours (minimum 12 hours) for those who prefer it. The availability windows are the periods of time we'd like you to be available to work. We will schedule your contracted hours within these times and provide 3 weeks' notice of your shift schedule. Help serve our shoppers better every day Meet great people and learn new things Be part of a specialist, diverse team where everyone is welcome As a Shift Leader, you will: Work in a fast-paced retail environment with variety Take ownership of running duty shifts, coordinating the team to deliver a clean, well-stocked store Be there for customers, listening to them and helping to make sure they leave the store with what they came for Look for ways to improve service, including coaching colleagues and giving feedback Guide and support colleagues in-store, ensuring a safe place to work and shop Maintain a great understanding of how the store is performing and assist managers in delivering actions to improve the store Lead from the front and set a great example for colleagues Please note that you need to be 18 or over to apply for this role. Coordinate the store team to deliver an easy, fuss-free shopping experience Support colleagues, ensuring they deliver daily priorities and take regular breaks Open and close the store, completing duty cover and ensuring decisions made are right for everyone's safety Be the go-to person for colleagues in the absence of a manager for day-to-day queries Maintain a clean, tidy, and well-presented store Support managers in coordinating seasonal, community, and charity events Contribute to a great team atmosphere, inclusive of everyone Provide great customer service by listening to customers and putting them first Keep the team well-informed and up to speed on communications, changes, or updates Stay knowledgeable about store performance and look for ways to improve operations Coordinate store improvements and remove obstacles to great service Follow health and safety routines and procedures, ensuring colleagues do the same Recognize and celebrate colleagues who provide great service Be a great role model by giving thoughtful customer service Build strong relationships with colleagues to create a positive team atmosphere Be a clear communicator, using various methods to keep the team informed Be comfortable taking the lead and overseeing the store in the absence of the Manager Be a good decision maker, flexible and comfortable handling change Be motivating and inspire the team to deliver beyond expectations Be curious and look for ideas to serve customers, communities, and the planet better Our vision is to become every customer's favorite way to shop.
