This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a growing team and play a vital role in our clients mission to create a more sustainable future through smarter, greener infrastructure. Based in Leiston, East Anglia, this position offers the chance to work on a major infrastructure project featuring a wide variety of works including groundworks, civils, drainage, pavements, and building construction with structural concrete, steelwork, ductile iron pipework, and racking systems. Its a challenging, rewarding and career-defining role for an experienced commercial professional. Key Responsibilities Provide commercial leadership across the contract to maximise profitability and minimise risk. Line manage and mentor a team of commercial professionals, driving performance and professional development. Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, subcontractors, and client representatives. Support budget development, forecasting, and cost control to meet financial and project objectives. Lead weekly and monthly cost-value reconciliations for accurate financial reporting. Manage cash flow effectively by capturing income and controlling work-in-progress. Identify, evaluate, and manage contract variations in line with contractual requirements. Procure and administer subcontracts, ensuring compliance with company and project procedures. About You Our client is looking for a proactive and collaborative Senior Quantity Surveyor who can combine technical expertise with strong leadership and communication skills. Youll bring: Significant commercial experience within a contracting environment. Proven ability to lead teams, manage stakeholders, and deliver successful outcomes. A deep understanding of construction processes and contract law. Strong commercial acumen and attention to detail under pressure. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. A positive, can-do attitude and commitment to achieving excellence. Experience with ECC NEC3 Option B and CESMM4 is preferred, along with a proven track record of subcontract procurement and contract administration.
