The successful candidate will take ownership of sub contract packages and procurement, cost control, contract management, and reporting, and risk mitigation. Key Responsibilities: PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Supporting the production of professional business cases for the infrastructure team. This will include electrification projects, new capital build projects, small works projects over threshold Developing a strong relationship with the London tendering team (the Customer) and the plan to electrify our depots in time for new route wins Draft, tender and award contracts/work packages to preferred suppliers in accordance with governance Liaise with project managers, stakeholders and contractors- commercially manage the contract/work packages Validation of invoices and quotes and sign off on all business cases for value for money Audit the monthly Facilities Management invoice and subsequent reconciliation activity, scrutinizing reactive and remedials costs Change control. Extra cost is in accordance with the contract and challenged for value Adherence to the clients standardised approach for delivering infrastructure projects and interfacing with the property team Support the manager in ensuring accurate and professional presentation of performance cost and time Produce timely reports and, analysis on project progress as required Support the commercial manager in developing a standard set of project management tools Own the risk reporting activities Budget control, monitoring and tracking all costs against business case budget centrally Key Requirements: - Degree-qualified (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or related discipline - Minimum 2 years relevant experience - Experience with cost control, variations, and contract drafting - Strong communication and stakeholder management skills - Working towards RICS chartership desirable Benefits: - Competitive salary with annual review plus performance bonus - Pension scheme, healthcare, and generous holiday allowance - Career development and chartership support TPBN1_UKTJ
