Shift Production Supervisor Newcastle Continentals 38-45k Central Employment are delighted to be once again supporting a growing manufacturer in Newcastle as they look to expand their team with a Shift Production Supervisor. As the Shift Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading the Shift Team Leaders at site to improve and optimise the production process and output of the site. Working with a popular product, the site is undergoing significant change and this role requires a strong and experienced production supervisor to manage and improve the team with a view to growing into the Production Manager. Key Responsibilities Responsible person for production across site and reporting directly to the Site Manager Managing a team of Shift Team Leaders and their respective operative teams, ensuring teams are manned appropriately for shift demands Ensure Production output meets site demands and KPIs and individual team members and shifts are meeting production requirements and targets Manage the full production process, including identifying improvement needs and inefficiencies across the production process and implementing improvements Manage site safety and quality remits across production operations and wider site requirements in line with key safety and quality requirements Champion site improvement activity and the overall development and training of staff The Person Experience within fast-moving consumer goods, such as food or packaging Has ran or managed production teams and shifts before with responsibilities for man management and reporting A forward-thinking and proactive approach to improvement activities and training implementation Knowledge of safety and quality requirements and experience of both managing and implementing their adherence across their team and wider site This role provides a genuine pathway to develop and grow into a full Production Manager role and would suit an accomplished or aspiring Production Team Leader or a Junior Production Supervisor wanting to manage a larger team or site. This role is working a continuous shift pattern and as such attracts an additional shift premium to the base salary.
