Salary : 20phr - 23phr Hours : 40.25hrs | Monday - Friday Shifts : 8am - 5pm (Day Shift) OR 6am - 3pm & 1pm - 11pm (Weekly Rotating) Location : Northamptonshire Position Overview: Due to an increase workload our client are looking for a CMM Quality Inspector on a 3 - 6-month contract basis. As a Quality Inspector you will be responsible for ensuring that all products meet the established standards of quality, reliability and performance. This role is crucial in maintaining the reputation of the company by ensuring that only top-quality products reach the customers. This role will be working within a Quality Laboratory environment and will involve the use of computers for data entry and analysis as well as using a microscope and shadowgraph for detailed inspections. Key Responsibilities: Inspect Products : Conduct thorough manual, CMM and scanning inspections of products and materials at various stages of production to ensure compliance with quality standards. Document Findings : Accurately document inspection results by completing reports and logs, summarizing re-work and waste, and inputting data into quality databases. Identify Defects : Identify and report any defects or non-conformities in products, materials, or processes, and feedback into the right department. Collaborate with Teams : Work closely with production and engineering teams to discuss inspection results and improve product quality. Maintain Equipment : Ensure all inspection equipment is properly calibrated and maintained. Follow Safety Procedures : Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe work environment. Requirements : Previous experience in automotive or similar high standard industry preferred. Familiarity with manual quality inspection and CMMs. Knowledge of PC-DMIS software is essential for this role. Knowledge of non-conformance and quality reporting.
