Job Description: Cogent Staffing are recruiting for Warehouse Operative/Pickers for our established automotive distribution client based in Marsh Barton, Exeter. Role summary: This is a temporary to permanent role, with successful candidates taken on as a permanent member of staff after a period of 12 qualifying weeks. Warehouse operations with some relief driving duties, it is essential you hold a full UK driving license with no more than 6 points (SP30, speeding offences only). Shifts & salary: Monday to Friday 08:30 - 17:30 Alternating Saturday mornings 08:00 - 12:00 (non negotiable) 12.21 per hour 1 hour unpaid break per shift 42 hour working week average Ongoing work with potential for a permanent role after 12 full weeks qualifying period Role details: Generating pick sheets Picking order loads from sheets Packing accurately Carrying out warehouse operations, packing orders, processing goods Using hand held scanners to pick orders Manual handling and heavy lifting of up to 30kg when required Driving to regular customers if required with around 10-12 drops per run Following company health and safety guidelines at all times The candidate: This is predominantly a warehouse role not driving, please apply if you are happy doing both warehouse and driving work Must have no more than 6 points on driving licence Must be prepared to pick and load van daily Has previous warehouse experience Must be capable of lifting up to 30kg Comfortable with driving long distances following route navigation when needed Happy to work within the warehouse not majority driving Immediate starts available following a visit to site and informal chat with the hiring manager.
