The roleAre you passionate about creating engaging, bite-sized learning content that helps students and professionals build real-world skills?We’re Potential.ly, an EdTech platform used by colleges and universities to embed career readiness, digital skills, and graduate attribute development directly into the curriculum and co-curricular programs.We're looking for a creative, self-starting Instructional Designer / Content Curator to join us on a freelance / part-time basis.What you’ll doDesign bite-sized learning: Create 10–30 minute modules on career development, digital skills, and AI literacy.Curate the good stuff: Find credible videos, tools, and articles; add clear intros/outros and learning outcomes.Use AI (safely): Draft outlines, scripts and assets with approved tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, HeyGen) and edit ruthlessly.Partner with universities: Adapt provided materials into learner-friendly formats on our platform.Support onboarding: Work with our account managers to structure/transfer content during new client setup.Ship with care: Follow our patterns for accessibility (captions, alt text, contrast) and source/licensing hygiene.Work With Purpose: Help students and early-career professionals gain the skills and confidence to thrive in the modern world of workWho we’re looking forYou’re a hands-on creator who writes clearly, structures information well, and enjoys making learning that lands with young professionals. You’re good with digital tools and curious about how people learn.Can use AI creatively and efficiently to design contentShow autonomy, self-direction, and practical thinkingFriendly and collaborativeAlign with our focus on career readiness and digital skills for learnersBachelor’s or higher in Education/Learning Sciences/Instructional Design, Media/Communications/Journalism/Digital Media, Humanities/Social Sciences (e.g., English, History, Psychology, Sociology), or Business/Management/Marketing—or a closely related field.Experience in one or more of: instructional design/e-learning/L&D, teaching & learning technology, content production/copywriting, research/library curation, or EdTech customer successSkills we care aboutWriting 'structure: crisp, plain-English copy; logical sequencing; clear outcomes + quick checks.Tool aptitude: quick learner of digital toolsDigital judgement: credible sources, tidy summaries, correct attribution/licensing.Interested inearning principles (applied): chunking, microlearning, retrieval practice, accessibility basics.AI-assisted workflow: comfortable drafting with AI, then editing for accuracy and tone.Reliability: can plan a week, work async, and iterate through 1–2 review rounds calmly.The contract We're a small, remote-first team with a shared mission: to increase student employability, lifelong learning, and social mobility through accessible and effective skills development.This job is initially offered part-time 24-30h per week, but can grow full-timeEmployee or subcontrctorLocation: Remote in the UK or Europe Salary range, depending on hours worked ca: £18k - £28k
