Join us and be part of a dynamic environment where your enthusiasm and skills can thrive!Personal Competencies:Previous management or supervisory experience, preferably within logistics or transport operationsStrong knowledge of transport regulations, compliance requirements and health 'safety legislationExperience with route planning and logistics management systemsProven track record in cost management and budget controlExperience working with third-party logistics providers (Parcelforce, DHL, etc.) and international shippingUnderstanding of customs processes and international trade regulations (desirable)Excellent leadership and people management skillsStrong analytical abilities for performance monitoring and process improvementAbility to communicate effectively with people of all levels, from drivers to senior managementIT proficient with logistics software, reporting systems and Microsoft OfficeOwn transport is required due to our rural locationFull UK driving licence essentialEagerness to develop the team and contribute to company growth objectives, including expanding international operationsResponsibilities & Duties:Manage, mentor and develop our growing team of delivery driversEnsure full compliance with transport regulations, driver hours, and company safety policiesPlan and optimise delivery routes for maximum efficiency and customer satisfactionSchedule deliveries and coordinate with production and customer service teamsMonitor and control delivery costs, fuel expenses, and vehicle maintenance budgetsManage relationships and negotiate with shipping partners including Parcelforce and DHLOversee international shipping operations to the US, EU and worldwide marketsHandle customs documentation and ensure compliance with international trade regulationsAnalyse delivery performance metrics and implement continuous improvementsHandle escalated customer delivery issues and complaintsConduct regular driver performance reviews, training, and disciplinary procedures when requiredMaintain accurate records and produce regular management reportsEnsure all vehicles are roadworthy and properly maintainedOversee driver recruitment and induction processesHours of Work:40 hours per week, Monday - Friday (flexibility required for operational needs)Benefits:Free secure onsite parkingManagement development and external training opportunitiesEmployee Assistance Program for support on financial, health and legal mattersOrganised staff engagement eventsCompany pensionReferral programme
