Role/Job Title: PSA Engineer - DTS Work Location: Edinburgh / Remote The Role Your Responsibilities: Requirement gathering, Epics, and User stories. Administer and optimize the Energy Management System (EMS) through application configuration, tuning, and security patching, preferably on GE PowerOn Reliance (XA21) and/or AEMS Platform Software , as well as EMS platforms from Siemens, OSI, ABB, Schneider , etc. Simulated RTU, Simulated IED, Console. ICCP, IEC, DNP3, Modbus, Data Modeling, XML/JSON. Proficient in both Linux and Windows operating environments. Knowledge of relational databases such as Oracle and SQL Server . Over 5 years of experience in power system applications, including Power Flow, State Estimator, Contingency Analysis, Load Frequency Control (AGC), Dispatcher Training Simulator (DTS) with expertise in model validation and event creation. Experience in programming languages for system integration or scripting such as C, C++, PERL , or similar, along with SQL & Shell scripting and ability to read, interpret logs, and debug files. Experience in picking up and installing fixes on live customer systems. Model validation and defect fixing for DTS system. Perform necessary technical corrective actions to restore failed or failing technical services on EMS systems. Conduct code review, deployment, testing, and monitoring of break/fix patches and modifications. Your Profile Desirable Skills / Knowledge / Experience: Electrical transmission modeling, EMS Application Engineer, PowerOn Reliance / XA21, GE eTerra Platform, Power System Applications, DTS, Dispatcher Training Simulator (DTS). Hands-on experience with Dispatcher Training Simulator (DTS) for EMS. Experience implementing Power System Applications such as Power Flow , State Estimator , Contingency Analysis , Load Forecasting . Enhancement and defect-fixing experience in EMS, ADMS, SCADA . Experience working on Linux OS and databases to manage EMS environments. Comfortable with scripting or database queries for troubleshooting or configuration. Experience using Qtest , Grip tools.
