Priyanka Jayakurma, Engineering Industrial Placement.The OpportunityThis 12-month placement offers a starting salary of 24,500 and the chance to work at our #Hartlepool Power Station in County Durham.Youll join our Engineering team, supporting safe and reliable generation by helping to deliver solutions for plant risks. Youll work alongside engineers across multiple disciplines, gaining hands-on experience and contributing to real-world challenges.This placement offers the chance to apply your academic knowledge to meaningful projects. Youll build your confidence, develop your career and make a valuable contribution in a supportive and inclusive environment.What Youll Be DoingDuring your Engineering Industrial Placement, youll gain practical experience in a professional environment. Past students have installed liquid level monitoring systems, assessed plant and component conditions, and supported condition monitoring programmes across operational sites.You may also contribute to safety improvements through communications campaigns, training and other initiatives. Most of your learning will be on the job, supported by your mentor and the teams around you.Your Work LocationYoull be based at our #Hartlepool Power Station in County Durham, where youll work alongside experienced teams and gain exposure to the operational side of nuclear energy. This location offers a unique opportunity to connect with colleagues and contribute to a key part of our business.Who You AreTo be eligible for this EDF industrial placement, you need to be on track to achieve, or have already achieved, a 2:2 undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Control and Instrumentation or Chemical Engineering.
