Location: Bury, Greater ManchesterSalary: 40,000Shifts: 4 days per week, 1 week of days and 1 week of nights rotating (usually Monday-Thursday but flexible)Before applying for this role, please read the following information about this opportunity found below.We're working with a leading food manufacturer in the Manchester area who are on the lookout for a strong Production Team Manager to join their production team.This is a people-first, performance-driven role focused on leading a team within a high-volume, fast-paced manufacturing environment. Youll support the Manufacturing Shift Lead in driving key metrics across Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and People - while helping shape a culture of continuous improvement and accountability on the shop floor.The Role:Act as a role model, setting the tone for performance, behaviour, and values across your teamSupport staffing plans and optimise manning levels throughout seasonal peaks and troughsOversee team performance across KPIs such as yield, waste, product quality, and line efficiencyLead daily huddles, team briefs and handovers to ensure clear communication and alignmentChampion training and development - mentoring new starters and upskilling your teamPlay a key role in CI initiatives using A3 methodology and structured problem-solvingEnsure compliance with H&S, Food Safety, and GMP at all timesMonitor and maintain your teams skills matrix, helping build strong succession planningActively contribute to site environmental and sustainability goalsWhat We're Looking For:Experience in a high-paced manufacturing/production setting (food or FMCG preferred)Proven ability to lead and motivate teams to exceed KPIsComfortable with standard work routines and structured CI methodologiesStrong understanding of Health & Safety and Food Safety practicesCapable of coaching and developing individuals at all levelsExcellent interpersonal and communication skills - both written and verbalOrganised, analytical, and IT literateComfortable working rotating shifts across both days and nightsWhats On Offer:Competitive salary of 40,114 per annum4-day working week (rotating shifts)Enhanced pension + maternity/paternity packagesLife assurance coverRetail discounts & on-site company shopStrong learning and development cultureEmployee recognition programmesSupportive leadership team and collaborative work cultureIf you're a team-focused leader with a passion for driving performance and developing people - this could be a brilliant next step in your career.
