We have an exciting opportunity for an Inspection Manager to lead our quality team at our brand-new manufacturing facility in Basingstoke. The role: As Inspection Manager , you will manage the day-to-day activities of the Quality Control function to support business needs. Key duties and responsibilities : Ensuring all manufactured parts are inspected in accordance with internal documentation and requirements. Creating Quality Inspection Plans and Inspection Logs. Leading MRB meetings and coordinating with Engineering Authorities for technical authority dispositions. Supporting NPD projects in terms of verification & validation of products and processes. Managing calibration of equipment used in the manufacturing sites and clinics. Completing GRR studies on critical metrology equipment. Conducting Risk Assessments on QC working environments. Driving improvements in both product and process initiatives. Monitoring key performance indicators and setting team objectives to improve. Working closely with Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Planning & Logistics to ensure that customer demands, both internal and external, are met. Supporting Internal audits. Planning TPM requirements for critical metrology equipment. Maintaining Training Matrix for the Department and identifying gaps in training needs. What are we looking for? As Inspection Manager, you will have the following: Key skills and experience: HNC / Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Good working knowledge of Quality Management Systems. Trained Internal ISO9001: 2015 or ISO13485:2016 Auditor Previous experience in a machining and milling environment, ideally within medical devices, Defence, Aerospace or Automotive Industry. Demonstrable knowledge of manufacturing process and capabilities. Familiarity with GDT and able to use a variety of metrology equipment, from micrometre to CMM/VMM Previous management and leadership experience Strong communication skills Ability to delegate Leads by example Excellent team player.
