This is a fantastic opportunity for a data-driven professional to play a key role in shaping underwriting and portfolio management decisions through high-impact reporting and dashboard development.About the RoleAs an Underwriting Data Analyst, you’ll be responsible for developing and managing reporting tools that enable stakeholders to assess underwriting performance. Your work will directly support leadership, underwriting franchises, and central functions in making informed, data-led decisions.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop new underwriting dashboards for leadership and key stakeholdersMaintain and enhance existing dashboards to ensure accuracy and relevanceOwn documentation for dashboard development, data sources, quality checks, and publishing processesManage and automate dashboard quality control (QC) processesMake approved changes to internal databases to support dashboard development, following governance protocolsAutomate recurring outputs for portfolio management, including board-level reportingMaintain and prioritise the Portfolio Management team’s project pipelineRepresent the team in IT and BI prioritisation forums to ensure strategic alignmentSkills & ExperienceStrong problem-solving skillsProven experience with SQL, Power BI, and Microsoft ExcelExcellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex analytics for senior stakeholdersBachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Data Analytics, Mathematics)Experience in the insurance or Lloyd’s marketFamiliarity with IT change control processesMaster’s or PhD in a quantitative discipline (preferred)What’s on OfferA chance to work with a forward-thinking insurance organisationDirect exposure to senior leadership and strategic decision-makingA collaborative, data-driven team environment focused on innovation and automation
