Group IT & Security Manager | £70K - 80K | Location: Chelsea We are seeking an experienced Group IT & Security Manager to lead a technology function and oversee a small, dynamic IT team. This role is central to maintaining and evolving the organisation’s IT infrastructure, ensuring systems are secure, efficient, and aligned with the group’s strategic goals.The successful candidate will manage day-to-day IT operations, provide hands-on support to staff and clients, and drive technology initiatives that enhance performance, resilience, and data protection.About the OrganisationThe group operates a portfolio of innovative businesses across the property, housing, and data sectors. The group combines advanced data analytics, technology, and property expertise to deliver solutions ranging from affordable housing to real estate technology and instant home-sale services. The role involves collaborating with leadership and stakeholders across these businesses to align IT strategy and execution with their operational needs.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Planning and AlignmentIdentify technology needs and align IT initiatives with business strategy.Develop and maintain a technology roadmap that supports both operational excellence and long-term growth.Standardise policies, procedures, and technology across group businesses.Team Leadership and DevelopmentLead a small IT team as the senior point of contact for daily operations.Allocate tasks, set priorities, and ensure high service levels.Promote professional growth through training, certifications, and knowledge sharing.Budgeting and Resource ManagementManage the IT budget, ensuring effective allocation across projects and operations.Optimise costs through vendor negotiations and process efficiencies.Project ManagementDefine project scope, priorities, and timelines to ensure alignment with business goals.Oversee the full project lifecycle — from planning and execution to monitoring and reporting.IT Operations and SupportMaintain high service availability and meet SLAs for IT services.Oversee helpdesk operations, supporting a distributed UK workforce of around 150 staff.Implement self-service and automation initiatives to improve user experience.Security and Risk ManagementDevelop, implement, and manage robust cybersecurity frameworks.Establish and enforce IT security policies aligned with ISO27001 and NIST standards.Conduct regular risk assessments and ensure data confidentiality and system integrity.Lead incident response and manage business continuity and disaster recovery plans.Vendor and Stakeholder ManagementEvaluate and manage vendor relationships, negotiating contracts and assessing performance.Partner with senior leadership to align technology investments with business priorities.Technical Skills and ExperienceProven experience managing IT infrastructure and systems.Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices.Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and data management tools.Experience with networking (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, firewalls) and virtualisation technologies.Competence with Windows, Windows Server, and macOS environments.Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Office, Teams, etc.).Knowledge of IT service management frameworks (ITIL, ISO27001).Basic scripting or automation skills desirable.Flexibility Hybrid role based in London, with a requirement to be onsite three days a week (including Tuesdays and Thursdays).Please apply or reach out on
