Graduate Day Analyst – RuncornSRG are supporting a leading chemical manufacturer in Runcorn who are seeking a Graduate Day Analyst to join their Site Services / Analytical Labs team on a 6-month temporary contract.This is a great opportunity for a recent Chemistry graduate to gain practical, hands-on laboratory experience in an ISO- and UKAS-accredited environment, working on a variety of analytical and process-related projects that directly support production and quality operations.Location: RuncornContract: Temporary (6 months)Salary: ~£29,000Hours: Day shift, full-timeKey Responsibilities:Perform analysis of process, safety, health, environmental, and product samples using documented standard methods.Ensure analytical equipment and methods are maintained, calibrated, and compliant with ISO 9001 / UKAS 17025 standards.Report and investigate analytical anomalies using prescribed quality procedures.Carry out basic maintenance, calibration, and quality checks on lab instruments.Support technical teams in resolving production or environmental issues through analytical testing.Participate in training and maintain a strong understanding of lab safety (COSHH, risk assessments).What We’re Looking For:Degree (or HND) in Chemistry or Analytical ChemistryStrong practical laboratory and analytical skillsData literate – confident using Microsoft OfficeExcellent self-management, communication, and problem-solving skillsAvailable immediately and based locally to RuncornFull right to work in the UKPlease note: candidates from a pharmaceutical background are not suitable for this roleThis position is ideal for a motivated Chemistry graduate looking to apply their academic knowledge in a real-world industrial environment and kickstart their analytical career.
